Hello, I’m Ira Carlson and I live in Minnesota. My day job is IT but in my spare time I am a Public Address announcer for baseball and ice hockey, Play by Play announcer for baseball, and co-host/producer of a podcast specializing in local craft beer. The podcast airs on a local radio station first before we stream it online. Thru the radio station I was introduced to Audition and love it. Up to this point had just used Audacity. Thanks to @Mike, I am having way to much fun learning all the tips and tricks to improve our podcast and plan to use it for some jingles and effects for my sports work. This is a great community!

Hi, I’m Steve - an Ex-pat Brit now living in Dallas, TX
I am not entirely new to the MRC community; just never got around until now at least, to make my introduction.
I consider myself as an increasingly serious hobbyist as far as producing awesome audio is concerned, having dabbled mainly in compiling endless playlists of my favorite music for personal use over the years, while also being highly self-critical when the tracks didn’t join correctly or the audio wasn’t up to scratch for one reason or another.
More recently, I discovered Audacity and started playing around with it – and then “Boom” up steps @Mike with a bunch of tutorials for the free software which then led me to Music Radio Creative and Adobe Audition.
I have aspirations to become a podcaster offering a fast paced music format across a few selected genres, offering something more than just a playlist by incorporating some of the types of audio promotion that highly respectable radio stations continue to offer these days.
A few months ago, I was a complete novice in the world of audio production; that’s not so say that I am an expert now, but I do however feel I am in the right place at MRC for continued learning and ongoing support.
I am happy and honored to be a part of something that is truly exciting and such a talented group of people.
