Tool scanning for instrumental tracks

Hi all,

Andrea Herrera of Music Radio Creative referred me to this forum for my question, so here goes…

I have a folder full of music files and would like to sort them in two folders: one containing tracks that contain vocals (the Songs folder) and one containing tracks without any vocals (the Instrumentals folder).

Is there a tool (or AI technology of some sort) that can scan my music folder and identify vocals-only files or instrumental-only files?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

There isn’t a tool specifically designed to automatically scan and sort a folder into vocals and instrumentals. Musiio by SoundCloud is trying to do the sort of tagging you suggest so worth to see if that fits for you. However, you could use AI-based audio separation tools like LALAL to split tracks into vocals and instrumentals.
