Everything was working fine until I dropped in a music bed and now when I hit play there is no playback sound. When I scrub through the audio I hear it but hit play again and nothing…
If I just let it play over and over again I finally get sound but the second I move something I lose the sound again.
any ideas?
I am not an expert, but I guess Audition has to render the audio first. After that, you’ll be able to hear it on playback. As soon as you change something it has to render it once again.
This happened also to Mike when he was live multiple times now, but not to such an extent. I don’t know whether it can be fixed by e.g. lowering some payback qualities or similar things. Maybe others (or Google) have good ideas.

A strange one for sure.
Make sure the Audio Hardware and Audio Channel Mapping is all good in your preferences.
What about the tracks in multitrack? Are any outputs mapped somewhere else and not the Master track?
