EV 20 into dbx286 into Rodecaster Pro into SAM Broadcaster to the internet. Thoughts? I have the 286 from a previous workflow but am not using it in the chain right now. Is it worth the setup and tweaking
Adding a dbx 286s preamp/processor into your signal chain can definitely be beneficial, especially if you’re aiming for higher audio quality in your broadcasts.
However, in all truth, the latest mixers really reduce the need for a big unit like this unless you really like the analogue sound. Take a look at RØDECaster Pro and Mackie DLZ Creator series for instance. Good luck!
