Hindenburg seems to be a nice piece of sw, but I’d like to read some reviews from others.

Hey Hugo! If you’re into audiobook recording, Hindenburg could be a solid choice. It’s known for its user-friendly interface and automatic audio leveling. It could offer a different workflow than Adobe Audition so it might be worth a try! I’ve not used it myself.
If you want to record audio books the software doesn’t matter too much so you could use Audacity with some nice plugins. Loudness would be something to focus on there and also ensuring there is minimum background noise as that’s important for audiobooks. Adobe’s Enhance Speech feature could possibly be helpful for you too.
