I work at syndicated radio stations presenting shows, using playoutone needing some advice how to format my music rotation within the software i know most stations go by A list B list C list etc but im a novice new to music programming and need some tips how to better categorise my music structure on my show
There is no one size fits all answer here I’m afraid. Radio programmers spend a lot of time researching the sound they want and building the library they need to achieve that sound before even thinking about building clocks.
You also need to consider whether you want traditional selection or goal selection when scheduling.
Also, if you’re running PlayoutONE you may want to consider one of the companion scheduling programmes that integrate with the playout software.
