I am making a podcast with a friend. And lately, his mp3 is sounding weird. Where whenever he speaks there is a noise buzz that starts. It only pops up when he speaks. He is using a Blue Yeti Microphone. Is this an issue with his setup or is there a way in Audacity that I can eliminate the noise?
Sounds like it could be an issue with some electrical interference on his end. A USB mic like Blue Yeti shouldn’t produce hum however. You could try a noise gate to fix it. Also, in Audacity, you can use the ‘Noise Reduction’ feature to try and remove the buzz. Just make sure to capture a sample of the noise alone to get the best result.
