I just purchased the mike sparkle for adobe audition pack – is there a way to merge this into my existing template set up, I don’t really want to go and have to recreate my template form scratch just to use this if it can be helped.

Good news, Adobe Audition just made it easier. You can now copy and paste effects from the ‘Effects Rack’ in multitrack. This would be my recommended method for copying over presets from Mike Sparkle to your own custom template.
